Sweat & Stretch is a slower, closer to the ground heated practice where there is a major focus on building mobility through the joints and flexibility through exploration of end range of motion.  Originally designed for Rugby Canada’s men’s national team, this class is perfect for the person with tight everything, whether you are a runner, elite athlete or a person who sits at a desk most of the day.  Teachers will help students navigate subtle changes in the biomechanics of their body’s mobility by exploring active stretching, PNF, CARS, PAILS and RAILS.  Students can expect hard work, lots of sweat and an opportunity to connect with their Central Nervous System through deep breathing, slow movements and self inquiry through physical awareness.  This class is not called a traditional ‘yoga’ class so that it highlights opportunities for those who don’t identify with the term ‘yogi’ and instead focuses on the scientific approach to mobility and flexibility.
