When those sweet moments of savasana arrive, rest well. You needn't be flat on your back with your legs and arms fully extended; even if you notice that is the shape the person next to you has chosen.

Listen to your body: adjust yourself, mindfully, and allow your body to show you a shape which will let you rest, deeply. Perhaps you end up on your side, or your tummy, or your back with your feet planted and knees bent. Or maybe you find yourself near a wall and you snug yourself up to it and elevate your legs.

Business, doing, and hustle have been disproportionately praised long enough. Be rebellious with rest and revel in it when the opportunity arises to slow, right, down.

Emily is a diversely talented teacher and an all around lovely human being. When asked a couple of questions about her practice and teachings, here's what Em had to say:

"Yoga brings balance into my life. It is my daily reset button to shift out of my mind, thoughts and daily stresses. It balances me out physically as well!

Strength training is a big passion of mine and yoga is a key compliment as it promotes the maintenance of a healthy range of motion and decreases my recovery time.

I look to bring challenge and playfulness to my teachings as I strive to hold space for students to disconnect from the overwhelm of the outside world and reconnect with themselves."

Instagram post 2175847876902804635_642881456 They slayed it in there today.  The 7s senior women for Rugby Canada came out for 75 minutes of calisthenics combined with ball and breath work to prepare for their next trip abroad.  What an incredible group of hard working, ass kicking women.

Just beyond the front desk on the left hand side is our shoe rack. Please be mindful to remove your shoes before venturing any further into the studio.

Our amazing team of Ambassadors put so much care and attention to detail into the cleanliness of our entire space. So, keeping the area of the studio beyond the shoe rack 'shoe free' is very helpful!

Melissa is one of our senior teachers here at the studio and is also our studio support supervisor!

Melissa believes that yoga can be both sacred and fun. You can expect creative sequencing in Melissa's flows. She will encourage you to work hard but not at the expense of enjoying your practice!

Melissa is mindful with her straightforward and accessible cueing and she strives to leave each student feeling capable and confident after a class.
